Building Awareness for Charity
7 Communications was selected by Best Buddies Canada to create a pilot charitable fundraising walk/run event. Held in the fall of 2010, the Audi Best Buddies Challenge saw more than 1,200 participants register, making it one of the largest first year events of its kind ever in Canada. Joining them were a cast of athletes, Olympians and celebrities, including Mike Weir, Alex Bilodeau, Tessa Virtue, Scott Moir, Joannie Rochette and others.
MC'd by ET Canada's Rosey Edeh, the event was held in the Town Square at the Shops at Don Mills in Toronto – a perfect venue, giving the event a small town feel, but just minutes from the core of the city. 7 Communications enjoyed the opportunity to direct this pilot event and for, in some small way, making a difference in the future of so many intellectually disabled Canadians.
